NEWS FLASH: BLACK ADAM CONCEPT ART

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson showed off his Black Adam film at DC FanDome showing concept art of the costume and revealing major characters involved in the film.

The panel started with the film’s logo before The Rock narrates a summary of the character of Black Adam and his power and his backstory. Black Adam was a slave in the kingdom of Kahndaq before he leads an uprising and proclaims himself the new ruler.

Black Adam wields the same power set as Shazam! and the two are rivals with a potential showdown coming for Shazam! 2.

The Rock showed off more concept art for the film including a look at his suit as he mows down waves of soldiers.

He was then joined by Noah Centineo to confirm that he is playing Atom Smasher and that he is not the only other powered character in the film.

Concept art was shown for more characters and the confirmation of the Justice Society being in the film and helping and hindering The Rock’s anti-hero.

The members will be Atom Smasher, Hawkman, Dr. Fate and Cyclone who are staples of the JSA.

The Rock then ended the panel as he would a wrestling match, with a callout to the DC heroes and threatening them with “change in the power hierarchy”, before winking to the camera.

Black Adam has been in development for over 10 years and will be released late 2021.
